Modern Cinema Group Signs Agreement to Co-Finance ‘The Kim Sisters’ Movie

Beverly Hills, California, Dec. 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Modern Cinema Group, Inc. (OTCPK: MOCI) is proud to announce the signing of an agreement to co-finance the movie “The Kim Sisters” with one of Hollywood’s most successful producers, Lucas Foster and his production company “Warp LLC”.

The movie “The Kim Sisters” is a highly engaging story about three teenage Korean girls who survive the Korean war and near-starvation to become a popular act for East Asian military bases and USO tours in the 1950s.  After being discovered, these young girls were invited to America where they become a staple on television variety shows not to mention their long-running engagements in Las Vegas during the days of the legendary Rat Pack.  With their 25 appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show, they are known as the most beloved vocal group in the show’s history.  Their story has been referred to as the greatest Korean-American story never told.

Lucas Foster, the producer of many successful action movies selected this project as his next production because it’s a classic ‘rags-to-riches’ tale with a very emotional core journey.  Lucas Foster is well known in Hollywood and around the world for producing Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.  Mr. Foster has also produced hits such as Man on Fire with Denzel Washington, Law Abiding Citizen with Jamie Fox and Gerard Butler and Equilibrium with Christian Bale.  Additional movies produced by Mr. Foster are Crimson TideDangerous Minds, Bad Boys and Jumper, among many others.

As for the financing provided by Modern Cinema Group, it’s new media exchange will be used to raise the necessary funds by way of selling “futures” contracts to market makers, brokers, speculators and retail traders around the world.  A significant effort will be made to sell contracts starting in January of 2018.  This movie will be the first of many that will use the Modern Cinema Group exchange for its financing needs.

The production budget for The Kim Sisters will be more than 20 million dollars and will involve top Korean talent with world-class music and dancing.  It’s expected to draw interest from international audiences attracted to stories about young performers with a dream of making it big.  The story is filled with music and choreography similar to hit musicals such as Dreamgirlsand La La Land.

Pre-production for the movie is scheduled to start in early May, 2018 with principal photography to start around August 2018.  Every effort will be made to bring “The Kim Sisters” to global theatres around the Holiday Season of 2018 if not shortly thereafter.

Facebook partners with more than 20 African NGOs for Safer Internet Day 2019

The campaign covers most of sub-Saharan Africa
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, February 4, 2019/ — In line with its commitment to building a safer online world for all, Facebook (Facebook.com) is supporting Safer Internet Day (5 February) with a campaign spanning 15-plus African countries. Aligning with the Safer Internet Day call to action – “Together for a better internet” – by joining hands with more than 20 non-profit organizations and government agencies, the campaign aims to raise awareness about Internet safety and security concerns such as cyberbullying and cyber-crime.

South Africa
Facebook is partnering with The Film and Publication Board (FPB), Media Monitoring Africa (MMA), Google, Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services (DTPS) to launch the Web Rangers Programme 2019. Facebook is also supporting this effort with educational content. Facebook’s Emilar Gandhi will participate in panel sessions to talk about how Facebook strives to keep its community safe.

A force for good, the digital world also holds some dangers. But these dangers are all created. In and of itself the internet can only cause harm if it is used expressly for that purpose. Kenya
Facebook is supporting Watoto Watch’s Safer Internet Day event for students at Ngunyumu Primary School in Nairobi. The event is the launchpad for the “A Million Campaign”, which seeks to raise awareness about online safety among schoolchildren. Facebook is providing ad credits and safety booklets for the event.

“The Internet enables us to connect with friends and family, access a wealth of knowledge and information, and express our thoughts and creativity,” , says Lillian Kariuki, Executive Director at Watoto Watch. “Along with these positives, children also need to understand how they can manage online risks as they make use of the Internet’s resources. Our aim, with the help of Facebook, is to equip children with this knowledge.”

Nigeria
Paradigm Initiative Nigeria is running workshops on safer internet use as part of its LIFE program in Kano, Lagos and Aba. Facebook’s Safe Online trainers will run two-hour workshops in both PIN’s LIFE Centers and at schools in Kano and Lagos for this initiative.
